Our 49 Street warehouse in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan is smack in the middle of a NYC Department of Design and Construction project slated to be completed in the fall of 2017.  The goal of the project is to replace aging water lines and connect them to the city’s newest water tunnel.  Traffic delays and lane closures are affecting the entire area and currently 49 Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues is the center of this “storm”.  In fact, in front of our building, only one of our three lanes is currently open.

We certainly understand the need for these improvements, however it is affecting our ability to quickly receive and dispatch shipments.  Very diligent traffic enforcement personnel are chasing stopped trucks away hastily and off loading or loading a truck needs to be done efficiently and speedily.

But know this, we are committed to offering you the best service possible through it all.  Should you have a truck dropping off or picking up items, we will be more than happy to help your driver out at no extra charge.  Scheduling pickups and drop offs is even more critical now; so please let us know your timing as soon as you know it.

We have been an industry leader since 1851 – when New York City’s water pipes were made of wood!  We plan on maintaining our 162 year old reputation – no matter what New York City throws our way!  According to our sources, we have several more months to go before the project moves to another street.

So if you need storage on the West Side of Manhattan, we are “Open For Business As Usual”  and we’ll make sure OUR headache does not become YOUR headache!.
